Before Heart Gallery officially launches the fabulous Spring/Summer knitwear collection from Makepiece we are holding a Sample Sale.

Woven dress

Designed for Makepiece and made in Wigan, these are mainly samples and lines Makepiece have now discontinued.  They’re great quality and use some amazing fabric finds so they are absolute bargains and not to be missed.

Fabrics Makepiece use for their woven collection are:

Mallelieu’s of Delph woven fabric, made near Holmfirth,  which is a wool herringbone – a fab blend of wool, linen and silk suitable for summer.

Wool crepe dyed and finished in Keighley.

Eco-friendly cotton alternatives like hemp and tencel.

Woven trousers

Makepiece then trim their woven pieces with vintage fabric bias bindings, vintage buttons and natural wooden and shed antler buttons.

Mothers Day

This weekend we are celebrating Mothers Day and, as my Mum is sadly no longer with me I am setting off today and visiting her ashes in The Lakes. She is scattered freely up Skiddaw so I will climb up there with my hubby and daughter to spend some quiet time with her.

My Dad and Stepmum are also meeting us tomorrow to visit my sister’s resting place, at Friar’s Cragg, as her birthday would have been next week. This will be a weekend of reflection which I always look forward to believe it or not and return feeling energised.
