Heart Gallery, a Contemporary Jewellery and Craft Gallery on Market Street, Hebden Bridge, has been announced this week as a FINALIST in the BEST GIFT RETAILER OF JEWELLERY category.

On Thursday May 21 Progressive Gifts & Home magazine will be holding its seventh ‘Greats’ retail awards ceremony at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, to celebrate excellence within gift retailing. The Greats are established as the premier awards event of the year as it brings together the entire industry for a night of celebration. The Greats recognise and celebrate not only the top independent and multiple gift retailers regionally and nationally, but also the new breed of gift retailers as well as outstanding retail employees.

Heart Gallery, a Contemporary Jewellery and Craft Gallery on Market Street, Hebden Bridge, has been announced this week as a FINALIST in the BEST GIFT RETAILER OF JEWELLERY category.

Having won BEST NEWCOMER NORTH AND SCOTLAND in 2008 I thought that it couldn’t get any better than this yet this fabulous news this week is just the icing on the cake. There will be stiff competition for this as this category is not regional but national but I am happy to have got this far. I now face a nail-biting wait until May 21 when the winners will be announced at a glamourous, Venetian themed, Greats Awards ceremony. Wish me luck!

Oh, I almost forgot! Can I just say thank you to all my loyal customers and faithful designer/makers who have taken the trouble to email or phone me to congratulate me on reaching the finals of The Greats. There has been an amazing response and loads of lovely comments and best wishes so I am overwhelmed once more. I even featured on Page 3 of our local paper this week so I was chuffed to bits with that too.

 

Tickets are booked for the event on May 22^nd so it is a bit of a nail biting wait but will let you know as soon as I know. Posh frock at the ready, here I come!

Finalist for Best Newcomer

Can’t believe how well Heart Gallery has done getting this far and the Greats’ Website has now announced who the finalists are ….. and there are only 5 of us!! Guess there is a trip to London in May on the cards then to see who wins this! There is stiff competition and it will be a close call but whatever happens I am proud to have got this far and will let you know if I walk away with the Award. THE ‘GREATS’ GIFT RETAILER AWARDS 2008

Well folks, fabulous news to report this week, which I am very proud to be sharing with you all.

I received a letter from Progressive Gifts and Home magazine informing me that Heart Gallery is one of the finalists in the BEST NEWCOMER IN THE NORTH category at their ‘Greats’ retail awards ceremony in London in May.

Every year The Greats Awards recognise the best UK jewellery and gift retailers representing a true reflection of the changing retailing landscape. Now in their sixth year, The Greats are established as the premier awards event of the year. It brings together the entire industry for a night of celebration to recognise and celebrate not only the top independent and multiple gift retailers regionally and nationally, but also the new breed of gift retailers who, in their opinion, are making a tremendous contribution to the UK jewellery and gift industry. It is the only awards that celebrate gift retailing in the UK!

 

I am honoured to have been shortlisted for this category, as I have worked really hard to turn my dreams into a reality and give you a shopping experience, which is truly different.

 

I spend time sourcing new designers whose work I feel will sit well in Heart Gallery and provide diversity for my customers. I have wonderful relationships with all my designers and makers who have had faith in me and in Heart Gallery from the very beginning. My designer/makers all thoroughly enjoy working alongside me to provide new and exciting ranges for all my loyal and new customers.

 

But most of all I have great relationships with you, my customers, thank you for helping Heart Gallery achieve so much in such a short time.
