How long has it been?

August 22, 2008

Hi folks

Just to let you know I have not forgotten you but is has been so hectic setting up to the Black and White Exhibition last week that time has just flown by and I really had to take a couple of days off this week to sort out my home! I could do with the elves coming in after I have gone to bed and sprucing the place up a bit!

The launch of Black and White went really well and I will post up some piccies next week for you but in the meantime here are some individual images of some of the fantastic work I have in Heart Gallery at the moment.

Take care.

Jo Whitehead’s Sushi Girls

February 21, 2008

Jo came to see me at the beginning of the week with a view to showcasing some of her functional glassware in the near future. I was so taken with these Sushi Girls she brought to show me that they are now on display in Heart Gallery ahead of schedule! I hope you like them too and at £20 each they make perfect pressies – something a little different for Mum perhaps? Jo has a few other pieces on display too and there will be a colourful range of fused glass jewellery from her very soon.Jo Whitehead ‘Sushi Girls’ dish £20

Jess Ball

February 15, 2008

Using thin slabs of white earthenware clay Jess cuts, manipulates and sticks shapes to form light, bright pieces that sparkle and glow. Bright colours, a crisp glaze and gold lustre enhance the reflective quality of her work. As each piece is formed it takes on its own character from the twinkling humble mug to the tall proud jug. Jess is a local ceramicist and Heart Gallery is proud to showcase this talented Yorkshire lass’s work. Prices from £18.
