Fiona has recently completed a year’s residency at the renowned Bishopsland Educational Trust Workshops, a centre of excellence for jewellers and silversmiths.
Here, she focused on developing her distinct and highly decorative style.
Fiona’s work is inspired by floral motifs found in handcrafted textiles, using shapes and patterns found in these to influence her collection of jewellery and contemporary silverware.
Fiona creates jewellery that is feminine yet playful and dynamic. Her individual and everlasting designs transform traditional ideas into new and exciting jewellery.
Fiona aims to create individual and everlasting pieces that transform something old into something new.
Fiona’s work is highly sought after and until June 2013 visitors to the silver galleries in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London were treated to Fiona’s ‘Powder Puff Bowl and Cover’ in the ‘Inspirations from the Archive Exhibition’.
Fiona has won many awards including the Malcolm Appleby ‘Rising Star’ Award at British Silver Week, 2012. During 2011 Fiona was resident jewellery tutor at the Himalayan jewellery workshop in Katmandu.
