Rachel is a senior design lecturer at Huddersfield University and teaches on the BA Hons Interdisciplinary Art & Design Course based in Barnsley.
Rachel’s current collection of jewellery is inspired by random doodles and sketches that explore repetitive, familiar shapes and patterns.
These are then drawn onto a surface of white enamel with a graphite pencil or rolled onto copper/silver, covered with a layer of white enamel and rubbed back.
Rachel uses white enamel because of the variety of subtle colours you can achieve during the firing process.
Each jewellery piece Rachel creates is unique not just in terms of the colour of the enamel but in the patterns and lines that are drawn and rolled on.
Here at Heart Gallery we are loving this new collection sitting boldy and proudly in our cabinet – please do call in soon to see it for yourself x
