So we finally got our insurers to agree to give the job of stitching us back together to our preferred local contractors West End Joiners & Builders – hurrah!
The West End Men only started 8 days ago and have done so much in that time it’s amazing.
They had to first dig up the top few inches of concrete in the main gallery and fill and insulate our two side galleries.
Our back space that was found to have structural damage was a lot more involved as it needed steel in there and some under pinning before the concrete wagon arrived.
I didn’t get up early enough to take pictures of the concrete wagon as they were doing the pour at 7am Monday but they were finished really quickly and very respectful to neighbours and to Market Street, washing down any surfaces that got dusty.
As you can see Heart Gallery is looking more like a space now instead of a building site and I am so pleased with my West End Men!
